South of France Farm House

A nifty farm house in the south of France showcases industrial materials and lots of old wood.  I'm really getting into corrugated tin right now, especially when it's patinated like this wall treatment. The juxtaposition of industrial and the wood in this space is fantastic.  Simply old world with a spin!

Where Two Rivers Meet

Just off the banks of 2 rivers that meet in Bayonne, France is a workshop occupied with flea market finds, sculptors, curios objects and rope wrapped furniture.  This is the studio and home of artist, designer, perfumer, artistic director, and jewelry designer Christian Astuguevielle.  He is known for casing furniture and objects in tight bundles of rope or cloth which is sought after by Nate Berkus, Philippe Stark and Bottega Veneta to name a few.  His studio/workshop is a place of bewilderment.  The juxtaposition of odd shapes, textures and quirkiness is what makes this space a little jewel of creativity.

White Simplicity

Designer + Architect, Jacqueline Morabito's home in France.  Jacqueline is quite an inspiration for me.  Her clean crisp white interiors serve as the perfect backdrop for her thoughtful selection of vintage and antique furniture and objects of rust and patina.  Also scattered below are some of her products for the kitchen sold at Bodie + Fou.  Enjoy these images of Marabito's world of white simplicity,
