Lots of Lotta!

I posted the amazing home of stylist Lotta Agaton once before, but here are some new photos by Pia Ulin for Residence mag.  I still like it as much as the first time I saw it.  Simple, clean and graphic.

Pottery Envy

This is amazing!  Eunjae Lee just graduated from The School of Design and Crafts, University of Gothenburg, Sweden.  She's producing works that take a life time to achieve.  Her silent machine collection below (black and white pieces) are simply perfect.  She's even crossing over into furniture design and photography already.  I'm certainly going to keep an eye on her!

California Ranch House

A California ranch house is filled with vintage finds from travels to Europe and Morocco.  Various materials like steel, reclaimed wood and concrete in the spaces create the casual atmosphere.  Oh, and those white walls again!! Read the full article at Country Living Magazine

From Africa

I love this kitchen with the Zulu and Namibian baskets on top of the cabinets.  Kerut Home carries some that are very similar here. These handmade baskets are a great way to add texture and warmth to a space.  Also their beautiful graphic patterns create a bit of drama!

A Decorating Habit

I can certainly relate to this story in the NY Times.  Interior designer, David Hopkins sleeps in a tiny closet in this Chicago apartment and rents out the bedrooms to support his decorating habit!  You do what you have to do to live in a space that you love!

Design Couture

Since NYC fashion week starts today I think we need a little interior design couture to get everyone in the mood.  The Spanish designer Luis Bustamante's no nonsense designs are bold, classic, strong and very fashionable.  I think we can all use a little couture in our lives.  Happy Fashion Week!

The Love Warriors

I've been following Hannah Lemholt's blog Honey Pie Living Etc. for some time now because I love her photography with all white walls and muted tone woods and textures...all so monochromatic with graphic prints and art on walls.  She adores herself so that she will often photograph her pouty lips, doe like eyes, her honey soft skin and her locks of hair like caramel, her features so perfect against light bright walls.  She will post these images on her blog...all so mesmerizing.  Hannah is not only beautiful, but she has great eye for details and style, so her new venture seems very fitting.  She has teamed up with four others in Sweden to create Love Warriors. A team of treasure-hunters that travel the world to find unique items and hidden gems in corners of the world forgotten by others.  They create their own design, born to life where recycled materials from demolitions, flooring, boats, doors, glass and oil drums meet.
The Love Warriors are out to change the world with one unique object at a time!
