Heading off to the studio today. This week's inspiration is Priscilla Mouritzen's pinched pots. So organic and full of character.

Missoni Fall/Winter 2012
Some fashion critics dislike the Missoni fall/winter 2012 collection. I for one love the muted earthy and gold tones. Gearing up for NYC fashion week...one of my favorite times of the year!

Collect What You Will
If you are collector, let other people share your pride and joy. Don't sprinkle your collection out of sight in a meaningless jumble. Notice how groups of small objects, when they are well arranged, become important and effective. Remember that repetition is a form of emphasis. Collect what you will, but see to it that you arrange your hobby to its best advantage.

The Stylist's Guide to NYC
Another book by Sibella Court. This time, one that is the perfect little guide to all of those obscure hole in the wall shops that most people don't know about.

Dwellers Collection
I love a lived in home with collections that have a story revealing who dwells in the space. They say a lot about the person. Layer upon layer...texture upon texture...
This great find from Todd Selby. Katsuya Kamo, a hairstylist at his home in Tokyo.

Creative Growth at Outsider
Dan Miller, an artist at Creative Growth in Oakland California. I've blogged about this great center before. Creative Growth Art Center serves adult artists with developmental, mental and physical disabilities, providing a professional studio environment for artistic development. I'm looking forward to seeing Dan's and other C.G. artist's works at the upcoming Outsider Art Fair in NYC on Jan 27-29.
